BURNLEY / JERIMIYA-BLUE
We’re thrilled to present the third collection of Burnley Cutouts. We’ve admired Steve Burnley’s work for years (his amazing antique shop was across the street from our Thomson studio) and we finally sweet talked him into letting us share his work a few years back. Not only is it a treat to know Steve Burnley and get a glimpse into this folk artist's life, but it's an even bigger treat that he trusts us with his work.
Burnley’s metal cutout world is filled with quirky characters, multi-headed cuties, spotted freaks, and lots and lots of color. Looking into Burnley's world, one is transported and entertained. The characters - each named something unique like "Noomy", "Mama Slick", "Swellin", and our personal fav: "Kyle Fletcher's Quandary", brighten your day – even if they have gnarly teeth and two tongues.
Grow (or start!) your collection, add one to your gallery wall, or give them as gifts to people you want to WOW.
Burnley Cutouts are painted on hand cut scrap metal. Each is hand painted into the most bizarre characters. Every piece is unique, and showcases his thick paint and quirky details.
Some Cutouts have a hole for easy hanging, and for those that don’t we suggest using Command Velcro strips to easily hang on any wall.
STEVE BURNLEY is a self-taught artist living and working in Thomson, GA. When not painting or doodling, he spends his time thrifting for his antique store, Aunt Tiques and Uncle Junks.
